Somfy Digital Network (SDN) is a bi-directional,intelligent, RS485-based bus system designed for controlling and monitoring motorized shading, such as Glydea ULTRA and Sonesse 50 motors, enabling two-way communication, precise positioning, and integration with third-party automation. It supports scalable, wired, low-voltage, or line-voltage configurations with up to 6 groups and 200 ft stub lengths, often configured using specific RS485 setting tools or software. It allows for real-time status feedback, precise positioning (0-100%), and integration with Building Management Systems (BMS) or third-party automation.
