Somfy RTS motors can show different LED blink codes for issues like low battery (5 red blinks), thermal protection (continuous red blink), or programming mode (solid orange or blinking orange), while 5 green blinks confirm a programmed step is memorized. A red LED that lights up fixedly indicates that the end limits are out of position, or there's an obstacle. If the motor does not respond, you can try a power cycle by unplugging and replugging the motor to reset it.
Common Blink Codes
Five Red Blinks: Indicates a low-battery situation; the battery needs to be recharged or replaced.
Continuous Red Blinking: The motor is in thermal protection mode and needs to cool down.
Solid Orange LED: The motor is in programming mode.
Orange LED Blinking Slowly: The motor is adjusting or memorizing end limits.
Five Green Blinks: Confirms that a programming step or desired position is successfully memorized.
Fixed Red LED: Can mean an obstruction is preventing movement or the end limits are incorrectly set.
Red LED Blinks Intermittently (2 times): The motor is either not paired with a control or is not set up.
